Christian DiSapio
was born in Long Island, New York in 1976. At age 21 he received his
first fitness degree from Suffolk College on Long Island. At age 24
he received his second degree in Kinesiology, ( the study of human
movement) with a minor in sports nutrition, from the University of
Nevada Las Vegas. Christian holds the two most accredited fitness
certifications available today through the American College of Sports
Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association
(NSCA). Upon completion of his second degree he began working as a
fitness instructor at the world famous Canyon Ranch facility in Las
Vegas. Canyon Ranch has been named numerous times by “ Conde
Nast Traveler” magazine as the top destination health and fitness
facility in the world. Working in multiple areas of health and fitness,
Christian has had a wide variety of clients that include people of
all ages and abilities, as well as professional athletes and celebrities.
After 5 years at Canyon Ranch, Christian moved back home to Long Island
where he currently resides. He is
in the process of finishing his first book entitled “ No One
Profit$ from your Health Except for You.” The intent of the
book is to raise the public consciousness about the ineffectiveness
of our current health and fitness industries. Christian believes that proper education is the best way to create
an overall healthier society. When not writing, he is currently an
independent fitness trainer and educator through his own company FitnesScience
LLC. Presently FitnesScience LLC is one of less than 10 facilities in the entire country actively practicing Corrective Kinesiology. Using collective scientific theories Christian is committed to
giving people the premier fitness training available today. His services
include health assessment and fitness testing, postural and movement
analysis, muscular strength and muscular endurance training, aerobic
and anaerobic conditioning, stretching and flexibility, yoga/pilates
and wellness, corrective kinesiology, functional strength and conditioning,
injury prevention and rehabilitation, sport/activity specific training,
plyometrics, balance and stability, agility and propreoception, meditation
and visualization, nutritional education, senior and youth programming,
consultations and lifestyle coaching, and group/corporate/team fitness
lectures and presentations.
